The Job
As Automation Engineer at GeekPlus, you'll be a technical integration point of contact with our partners and clients who range from Startups to Fortune 500 players. You'll interact regularly to maintain a strong communication with the clients and understand well their needs. You'll team with implementation Engineers to understand all the details of the system integration and site dynamics. You'll work with internal and external resources to coordinate all aspects of a Robotic Systems deployment at a customer site. Responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical and/or electrical automation requirements in the context of robotic technology-driven warehouse solutions
- Design the automation integration between our robotic system and other material handling equipment (MHE), such as conveyor and sortation systems, AutoStore, and AS/RS and mini-load systems.
- Implement PLC and HMI programs to satisfy technical specifications and install the solutions at the customer site
- Test automation integrations with other MHE providers and trouble shoot issues occurred onsite
- Complete the commissioning, start-up and user training to ensure a smooth transition to the new automated system
- Provide onsite engineering support until the acceptance testing is approved by Customer
- Work closely with Project Manager and Robotics Implementation Engineers to ensure implementation quality
- Prepare for weekly progress report for project team and client's record
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline
- At least 2-year experience of warehouse automation/manufacturing automation
- PLC programming is required, preferably with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- HMI programming is preferred, such as RSview, Factory Talk and etc.
- AutoCAD proficiency is required for electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with Robotic Systems is a plus
- Good command of spoken and written English,
- Chinese/Mandarin is highly preferred
- Online collaboration tools proficiency is required
- MS office suite proficiency is required
- Travel friendly
- Willing to learn and have attention to details
