AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Entrepreneurial parents in Northwest Austin (78731) seek a patient, flexible, proactive long-term FULL-TIME NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT for their 11-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl from 7:30 am-6:30 pm Monday-Friday. They are open to a 40-50 hour/week schedule for the right candidate! An example of this might be 10:30/11-6:30 M-Th and 8/8:30-6:30 Friday during the academic year and 8:30-5:30 during the summer. There should be roughly 10 OT hours each week.
The nanny will engage the children in age-appropriate, indoor and outdoor activities. They are seeking a nanny who likes to get outside with the children is a must, as the children spend half the day outside (2 hours outside in the AM and PM). Nanny will need to be able to swim and enjoy long hikes! Must have an excellent driving record! The children are in school from 8:30am-3:20pm Monday-Thursday (no school Fridays) during the academic year and have after-school activities Monday and Wednesday. They will provide a nanny device or phone to be used for household management duties while kids are in school. Additional duties include:
- Implementing age-appropriate activities
- Preparing children's meals/snacks
- Transportation to/from school/activities (in family vehicle)
- Scheduling/calendar management including maintenance/vendors, and managing the maintenance of the nanny car
- Keeping home and children's areas neat and tidy (organizing children's bedrooms and play area, load/unload dishwasher)
- Laundry for family
- Occasional travel with the family (if interested)
- Grocery shopping and errands, manage online orders
- Schedule and manage the housekeeper
They seek a dependable, self-motivated, reliable, observant nanny who can follow directions and takes initiative. A nanny who is detail-oriented, neat and tidy, discreet, and energetic. Someone who will provide firm structure and boundaries with love and kindness, and will model and encourage an active, outdoor lifestyle. A nanny who likes to get outside with the children is a must! The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, proactive, and have excellent common sense. Someone energetic and fun, but able to firmly maintain calm and authority in a warm, loving manner. The eldest has dyspraxia (sensory processing disorder with mild symptoms) and eczema (requires diet restrictions). Additionally, they have a pet bunny that the kids are responsible for.
Benefits include 10 days PTO and 5 days of sick time. Pay is $25/hr gross via payroll. Start date is ASAP. COVID vaccine not required.
