Austin Westlake Family Seeking A Full-Time Household Manager/Nanny

AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - An entrepreneurial family in Westlake(78746) is looking for an experienced FULL-TIME HOUSEHOLD MANAGER/NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT. The ideal candidate is highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and proactive. Parents aspire to keep a clean and organized house so a natural attention to detail is helpful.

The role

• The family needs someone who is comfortable switching their focus on any given week.
• Some weeks the role will be more focused on taking care of the children while mom is in her studio. Other weeks the role will be more focused on the house and personal assistant type work as mom is more available to spend time with the kids.
• No two days are alike in this household and the perfect candidate can roll with the changes and enjoy the ride with the family. The family is SEEKING A positive proactive presence in the home and want the confidence to know any job will be done well.

Duties include

• Light housekeeping: tidying, laundry, wipe down kitchen, run dishwasher, bed making, rotating toys, tidying playroom, keeping free of all clutter, prepping baby bottles, keep indoor & outdoor furniture organized, take out trash. There is a cleaner who comes once a week to perform a deep clean. There is a pool guy and landscaper who also come frequently.
• Caring for the children; encouraging independent play, emotional intelligence, good manners, reading to them, and engaging in their play.
• Weekly grocery shopping & kitchen re-stocking.
• Meal prepping for kids & parents (i.e. washing, chopping veggies).
• Maintain general inventory of household supplies, restocking as needed.
• Co-ordinate/manage: landscaper, house cleaner, pool guy, tutor, and other ad-hoc contractors.
• Receiving, unpacking deliveries, processing returns, dropping off packages to whole-foods, ups, Fedex, return library books.
• Manage seasonal projects; putting up and taking down decorations, helping organise summer parties.
• Provide ongoing personal assistant style support as needed: planning travel, birthdays, managing calendar, spring cleaning/organization projects, ongoing organization of storage areas, manage ad-hoc projects; rotate toys, buy home school equipment, run errands.

Requirements

• Five years plus experience in similar roles
• Comfortable with international travel
• Comfortable with comprehensive background check and providing references.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report
• Comfortable signing a NDA
• Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident
• Competent swimmer
• Non-smoker
• CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
• Two+ years childcare experience
• Fluent in English
• No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
• Personal social media, movie streaming, etc is prohibited during work hours

Family

• Kids: 9 month girl, 2.5 year old boy
• Dogs: Two small, very friendly beagles - they should require no care other than letting the dog out and potential vet appointments.

Schedule:

• 10am to 6pm or 10.30 to 6.30
• In evening: help prep food for the family dinner at 5.30.
• While family are eating dinner clean kitchen, tidy playroom, organise kids bedrooms, run laundry, prep for tomorrow (kids pack lunches, snacks, breakfast items)

Pay and benefits

• Pay is $25+/hr via payroll + PTO, All based on experience & open for discussion.
