The Michigan Gaming Control Board has Auditor 9-P11 vacancies in our iGaming section and in our Tribal Gaming section. The section will be determined during interviews.
***This position currently offers an initial $1,250 Signing Bonus and an additional $1,250 Retention Bonus upon completion of one year of satisfactory service. The bonus must be paid back if employee leaves the department prior to completing one year in the position. This benefit is limited to new State of Michigan employees, current employees are ineligible. ***
The iGaming Auditor 9-P11 plans and performs financial, compliance audits of internet gaming, internet sports betting, and fantasy contests conducted under the Michigan Gaming Control & Revenue Act as amended, the Lawful Internet Gaming Act of 2019, the Lawful Sports Betting Act of 2019, and the Fantasy Contests Consumer Protection Act of 2019, administrative rules, and operator and platform providers internal controls.
The iGaming Auditor has the option of Detroit, MI or Lansing, MI as the primary work location.
The Tribal Gaming Auditor 9-P11 supports the oversight responsibilities of the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) as prescribed in the Tribal-State Class III Gaming Compacts and related Consent Judgments. Plans and performs financial and compliance audits and reviews of Class III gaming at tribal casinos operating pursuant to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, Tribal-State Class III Gaming Compacts, and related Consent Judgments. Conducts risk assessments and analytical procedures, evaluates and tests internal controls, analyzes records and data, and performs observations, inquiries, substantive tests of transactions, and other audit and review procedures. Assists in the development of audit and review programs, procedures, and strategies and prepares or assists in the preparation of formal audit and review reports.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board may consider alternative and remote work schedule requests based on the operational needs of the work area. Not all MGCB positions have the capability to work remotely due to the nature of the position. For positions approved to work remotely, MGCB requires a minimum of two in-office days each week.
