SUMMARY:
The AV Service Technician is responsible for the installation and service of audio, video and network systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Experience with Savant home automation systems
· Experience with Lutron light and shade solutions
· Basic understanding of electrical systems
· Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking systems
· Basic understanding of audio systems
· Basic understanding of video systems
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Running/installing low voltage wiring including Cat6, Coax, Speaker and Fiber Optic cable, terminating connectors
· Transporting, installing and mounting media and network equipment including speakers, TV’s, cameras, teleconferencing systems and equipment racks build-out
· Test audio and video wiring and troubleshoot problems that arise
· Exceed customer expectations by delivering flawless installations
· Complete daily time entry and expense tracking
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have reliable transportation. A truck or van is a plus but not required
· Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills
· Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility
· Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
· Able to lift, transport and set up equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
· Must be punctual with a professional attitude
