Salary: Framework B, Step 45 Range: $54,350 - $62,427 (salary is commensurate with experience)
Job Summary : The Athletics & Wellness Coordinator is responsible for managing the athletics program and department for middle and high school grade levels with the possibility of multiple school campuses. This includes supporting, developing, and maintaining enrichment athletic programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Coordinates the athletic program in collaboration with school leaders and coaches to ascertain programmatic needs on an annual basis.
Supervises the coordination of sports events including attending home and away games and attending practices as needed.
Supervises athletic funds, and prepares and administers a detailed budget for the athletic program.
Maintains an annual inventory of all athletic equipment and supplies.
Advises and ensures all coaches conform with league policies and comply with state and federal laws.
Communicates with teachers, coaches, students, and parents professionally and in a timely manner
Works to establish new partnerships with community organizations to create new experiences for students.
Responsible for hiring, monitoring, and supervising coaching staff.
Coordinates and promotes athletic events such as games, banquets, and fundraisers.
Maintains awareness of industry events and changes with High Tech High Schools
Supports other school programs and electives for schools as needed especially sports or wellness
Willing to explore fundraising or donor opportunities to secure athletic facilities and sustain sports programming

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervision of coachesSupervision of students during athletic events
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience with the various sports and seasons rule and regulations
Familiarity with Title IX compliance
Experience in a school/learning environment preferred
Programming or supervisory experience preferred
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Hours may be long when specific needs arise, thus some extended work schedules will be necessary.
