TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Exempt Position; 10 month; Full Time; Additional Athletic Director Duties; Additional 2 month of employment based on funding each year.
SALARY: AD- Supplement based on knowledge and experience using coaching supplement pay scale for the additional Athletic Director duties
Teacher- Salary placement will be determined by the NC Salary Schedule based on license and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: NC Educator License in Secondary Education required.
DUTIES:
AD- Administrative experience preferred. Bus CDL Required (or willing to obtain immediately). Provide overall leadership, supervision and coordination of all athletic programs; maintain athletic budget; assist in employment process for coaching staff; complete coaching contracts and experience verification forms; responsible for coordinating daily practice schedules and schedules for home contests; attend home athletic contests; travel to away contests; monitoring academic progress of student athletes; determines and monitors eligibility for athletes; maintain a permanent file of medical examinations, insurance forms, parent consent forms, insurance payments, emergency treatments forms, etc. for each participating athlete; follow district policies and procedures as well as the rules and by-laws of the NC High School Athletic Association; interact with parents, media, community, and promote sportsmanship; coordinate athletic banquet and other duties as assigned by principal and/or superintendent.
Teacher- Responsible for instructional program as outlined in the NC Standard Course of Study (Common Core/Essential Standards), normal duties of a classroom teacher and other duties that may be assigned by the principal and/or superintendent.
