Description/Comment:
The Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for inventory control and storage of production materials. This associate will be cross trained in shipping and receiving duties to cover team workload during vacations and other staff shortages. We need a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. You will kit materials for manufacturing, perform manual and administrative duties with various ERP and other computer systems, and perform scheduling and reporting tasks to support the manufacturing workflow while maintaining compliance with relevant local, national, and international guidelines.
This position belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and is located in West Sacramento, CA. At Microbiology as one of the world’s leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Materials Manager.
This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (start and end times somewhat flexible).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Reconcile inventory, perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
• Kit and move product to and from cold and ambient storage locations
• Proactively find and resolve safety and performance issues
• Complete compliance and safety training to schedules
The essential requirements of the job include:
• High school degree (or equivalent degree)
• Must be able to lift 50lbs infrequently
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Forklift experience/license for Standing/Sitting Forklifts and scissor lifts
• Experience with MS Office platform and Oracle or similar ERP system
• 2+ years exp in warehouse or mfg. environment
