Summary:
In the role, under direct supervision, you perform multiple aspects of the Supply Chain spectrum administrative functions. This is based on Member needs and current assignments, e.g., focuses on processing and validating requests for supplies made by specific and assigned Member departments to procure requested supplies in accordance with Vizient and Member policies, contract support and processing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform, as needed, a variety of administrative Supply Chain duties to support the department's needs, e.g.,
- Receive requests for purchase orders routed to the Supply Chain/Material Management Department or the Member's procurement system. You review for completeness, contract compliance and conformity to policy and procedures.
- Enter and process electronic requisitions or inventory control recommended reorders to create purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors regarding purchasing supplies, equipment and service contracts in accordance with customer policies and procedures in order to ensure accuracy of product, price, and delivery terms.
- Move orders to appropriate contracted suppliers when conversions to new products have been approved to meet all compliance goals.
- Route orders accordingly for medical supplies, expedite open orders, facilitates product substitutions on back ordered products and verifies pricing against contractual agreements.
- Assist others and/or Member departments on opportunities to improve product content and cross referencing.
- Assist others working with suppliers to understand and coordinate any site preparation required for equipment installation; to schedule delivery around any electrical, biomedical or other utility requirements for equipment installation; and to resolve quality issues; troubleshoots problems identified by departments and works with supplier to resolve.
- Assist others working with supplier and hospital departments (including nurses and physicians) to coordinate acceptance testing; reports results to supplier and follow-ups upon open issues until resolved and equipment is functioning according to specification.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- No previous experience required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and present data.
- Understanding of project management concepts.
Estimated Hiring Range:
$51,900.00 - $75,150.00
