Job Summary:

Raytheon’s Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) discipline is looking for a highly skilled leader to apply their technical and functional experience to lead a diverse team of dedicated individuals focused on driving efficiencies for the discipline. This key leadership role includes interaction with senior level executives as well as collaboration with Center Leads, Department Leads, Engineering Partners and team members. In partnership with SI&T leadership this role focuses on effective discipline operations while increasing efficiencies in the areas of people, innovation, and execution. Areas of focus include Hiring, Onboarding, Learning, Development, Program Metrics, and CORE.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and experienced lead with demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams, experience in workforce planning, understanding of program metrics, and effective communication (verbal/written) at different levels of the organization to drive team execution in support of discipline goals.

SI&T includes multiple engineering disciplines responsible for the hands-on integration, verification, and validation process for all Raytheon products. SI&T has over 3300 employees supporting the different Raytheon strategic business units across the country and internationally.

This is a hybrid role. The selected individual may work from one of our major sites: Tewksbury, MA, El Segundo, CA, McKinney, TX, Tucson, AZ or Aurora, CO.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Develop and deploy robust reporting to monitor and drive actions related to Work Force Planning (demand, supply, attrition, hiring, onboarding, forecasting, and awaiting assignment)
  • Develop executive presentations and supporting Engineering Leadership Operational and Work Force Planning meetings.
  • Drive engineering goals, initiatives and targets focused on improving processes, metrics and predictability.
  • Recommend, establish, and execute new processes in support of continuous improvement to the discipline and program execution.
  • Manage Rstars budget for the discipline and identify opportunities to recognize/highlight team members making an impact to our customers.
  • Capture and distribute critical communications to discipline leads and team members.
  • Obtain regular status to prioritize and manage team performance/impact.
  • Review and manage list of SI&T Proposals
  • Promote continuous improvement to capture opportunities.
  • Communicate and obtain help needed to ensure progress to plan.
  • Effectively interact with diverse stakeholders (verbal/written).
  • Lead and obtain consensus on initiative/projects to drive continued progress.
  • Collaborate across multiple organizations and perform discipline level operation analysis.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity, open to change and working in a fluid environment.
  • Work with a variety of different people and personalities to build a team environment that works towards common goals.
  • 25% travel will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership and technical experience related to Systems Engineering principles with a particular focus on Integration and Test.
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • Experience with Integration and Test metrics (ex. Defects, Verification, Integration and Test related program metrics).
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value (EV) Management, Estimate at Completion (EACs), and Control Towers to identify trends and forecast issues.
  • Previous functional management experience
  • Experience with Work Force Planning tools such as OurStaff or Team Strength
  • Experience in leading the active management of program cost, schedule, scope, and risk using project management (MS Project) and financial tools (EVMS) to continuously monitor and communicate program performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CORE Trained for driving process improvements.
  • EVMS Certified
  • PMX Certified Level 6 or better
  • Experience as an Integrated Product Lead or Cross Product Team Lead

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
