Senior Geologist / Senior Environmental Engineer / Senior Scientist

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas is hiring a full-time, Senior Geologist or Senior Environmental Engineer or Senior Scientist to oversee a wide variety of complex, environmental projects in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR GEOLOGIST / ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

As a Senior-level professional, you are the engine of our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of the Division Manager/Principal Geologist, you will:

  • Prepare and review of work plans, technical documents, and reports for oil companies, mining operations, agricultural companies, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers, etc.
  • Prepare and review of new clientele proposals for oil companies, mining operations, agricultural companies, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers, etc.
  • Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and management through project completion.
  • Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Review and approve supplier work proposals and invoices.
  • Write/complete advanced project reports, analyze and interpret analytical data, and prepare final reports to be submitted to our Principal Geologist and clients.
  • Business Development: expand client base by attending trade shows, marketing events and environmental trade associations
  • Staff Mentoringhire, develop and retain key staff-level employees

Your communication and management skills are essential as you interact regularly with local and national clientele, and regulators. Though you do spend a lot of time visiting job sites and interacting with people, you also make sure to complete your administrative responsibilities. Ensuring that clients are happy, as well as delivering projects on-time, within scope, and in-budget gives you a great sense of accomplishment!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
  • Seven or More years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors in Dallas Fort-Worth and surrounding area.
  • Professional Registration/Certification or ability to attain within two years of hire.
  • Environmental consulting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines.
  • Ability to travel within the western regional United States.

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

This full-time project management position typically works Monday - Friday with some traveling, overnight and weekend work. May voluntarily engage in extended two-to-three-week projects regarding federal emergency response.
