Job Description
CES has developed an excellent reputation which has created an opportunity to perform services for some of the largest and most reputable asset owners and equipment manufacturers in the industry. To maintain our reputation, it has become necessary to add a talented and hard-working Associate Project Manager to our team who can coordinate logistics for projects, create actionable reporting packages, and assemble technical deliverables to meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an intimate understanding of customer requirements and coordinate CES resources necessary to execute with efficiency and excellence.
- Prepare written reports summarizing work performed by CES field technicians and subcontractors, with labeled photographs illustrating asset conditions before and after the work.
- Prepare charts and written reports analyzing the energy performance of renewable assets, working with CES’ subject matter experts to recommend additional maintenance or repair work and provide cost-benefit analyses detailing the likely asset performance improvement that such work would likely enable.
- Perform analysis of CES’ operations to identify opportunities for the company to reduce operating expenses and perform work cost-effectively.
- Prepare internal reports, project schedules, and presentations to update CES leadership on the progress of work being performed and the impact of operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with field technicians to ensure robust work order documentation (including photos where applicable) of all work performed in the field, including challenges encountered, parts used, suspected root cause, and any other notable conditions observed by staff while on site.
- Visit sites to assist field technicians with proper documentation and reporting as needed.
- Use remote monitoring software to download data and create charts necessary for reporting.
- Develop a strong working understanding of contracts with clients to ensure that CES is in compliance with contractual administrative obligations.
- Review inspection and test records generated by technicians and subcontractors, using them to provide follow-up recommendations and other analysis to clients.
- Assemble technical documentation, contract exhibits, bid packages, and other deliverables to support CES’ commercial efforts.
- Participate in scope of work and documentation reviews to support bid activities on new business opportunities.
- Assist with cost modeling for proposals to prospective clients.
- Prepare for service execution by sourcing subcontractors and materials, and by preparing checklists and reporting templates that align with CES’ contractual scope of services.
- Create templates to streamline reoccurring back-officework and reduce the administrative burden of reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
- 1-2 years of renewable energy or oil & gas operations, asset management, project management, or operations & maintenance experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 2-4 year degree with coursework in engineering, operations, or business administration preferred.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX without relocation assistance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, and capability to learn new software programs quickly with minimal formal training.
- 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to work outdoors, including in cold temperatures and in hot temperatures while visiting teams in the field.
- Ability to wear standard required personal protective equipment.
- Availability during evening and weekend hours as needed to meet client deadlines and expectations.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
