As a part of the Asset Optimization team, the Senior Associate, Project Manager will support projects of varying sizes (duration, funding, stakeholders, …) throughout the full project lifecycle. Project scopes range from installation of physical wind turbine upgrades to strategic fleetwide improvements projects and various internal overarching projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project manage multiple projects and initiatives with site staff and other internal and external stakeholder groups (incl. Site Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Controlling, HSSE, and Quality …)
- Focus on organizational projects with various internal stakeholders; particularly project execution strategy development
- Support and assist other Project Managers (e.g., with project scheduling, project controlling, etc.)
- Act as key interface towards contractors and assure activities are performed in accordance with RWE’s safety protocol
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and quality and within budget
- Support creation of status reports for management review
- Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and value optimization for the wind farm assets
- Support the development of project office templates and processes
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Project Management Certification preferred (ACPM/PMP…..)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in project management arena, experience in the wind energy sector preferred
- Experience in Strategy, Project Management, or consulting preferred
Job Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to climb 300’ when a project requires “hands-on participation”
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to perform 25% travel to and from job sites as assigned
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $78,900 - $118,400. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
