The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Producer, Integrated Productions the Associate Producer (AP) is responsible for assisting the remote team remote on planning and logistical tasks surrounding shows they are assigned to. You will coordinate information and logistics surrounding remote broadcasts and non-remote productions to achieve desired production goals. The AP takes initial direction, and assignments, from the Senior Managing Producer and then works independently to achieve tasks. You will research and procure production suppliers and vendors, and works with them on location. The AP often makes key decisions and establishes procedures on location. The AP also supports the live production by working with on-air talent, guests and production staff to facilitate the broadcast and produce segments with a show.

Your Impact
- You will communicate with Producer(s) about production goals of remote broadcast to understand and carry out those goals/objectives.
- You will scout broadcast locations and meet with location contacts to address logistical needs to achieve production goals and to ensure a seamless broadcast. While scouting document all necessary information (via photographs, moving video, measurements). Following site visit communicate this information to appropriate internal personnel and document information for use in pre-production planning.
- You will arrange and facilitate broadcast logistics, including, legal documentation (insurance certificates, non-technical permits, and release forms), set design, staging needs, and set decorations/displays.
- Research, hire, and supervise the following external facilities: staging, security, craft services and catering staff, communicating and seeking approval from Senior Producer and tracking these costs.
- You will attend remote broadcasts to facilitate all arranged logistics. Once on location interact with production crew to ensure communication between the operations team and the producing team.
- Discuss on-air presentations and show line-up with key personnel to ensure a seamless production. Coordinate integration of interviews, stand-up's, and entertainment into remote programming.
- Review broadcast results with members of the team, understand success of logistical details, planning and execution and update paperwork to ensure learnings are documented.
What You Bring
- 3+ years in television production or large special event planning is required, preferably in live or remote television production.
- An undergraduate degree in television production or a related field is required.
- Well-rounded knowledge of television production, special events, or remote broadcasting, including some training on broadcast equipment.
- Ability to travel - The frequency of travel can vary depending on the production workload and project demands, but typically involve around 30% of working hours away from home or the standard work environment.
