The Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies requests applications from qualified individuals for a full-time Associate or Assistant Professor position. The Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science programs with a major in nursing have three tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). The Bachelor of Science program with a major in nursing began in fall 2021. The School also offers a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Sciences and Perfusion Medicine.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students in Nursing and Cardiovascular Sciences and Perfusion Medicine
• Demonstrate competence in teaching
• Create innovative curricula utilizing experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory
• Engage in community service above and beyond faculty requirements
• Engage in lifelong learning as evidenced by participation in professional and faculty development
• Evidence of progressive participation and leadership of national/international professional organizations
• Maintain clinical/professional experience in the field of accreditation of undergraduate and graduate-level programs, namely Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and Accreditation Committee-Perfusion Education (AC-PE)

• Candidates must have a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching at the collegiate level required
• Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience required
• Experience with Simulation
• Experience teaching Undergraduate fundamentals and med-surg
• Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, leadership, and time management skills
• Outstanding computer skills are a must and include proficiency in Blackboard, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment

• Peer reviewed national/international presentations; publications preferred
