NYU College of Dentistry is seeking applications for one full time positions in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine. Faculty in this diverse and interdisciplinary department enjoy productive and collegial collaboration with other specialties within the department and in other departments. Faculty responsibilities include leadership in the Department’s clinical services, teaching radiology in the predoctOral and postgraduate programs as well as scholarship in their area of expertise.
Boarded applicants have the opportunity to participate in an active Cone Beam CT imaging service. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in a multidisciplinary research center and rapidly expanding basic science research programs in oral cancer, biomaterial/tissue engineering and oral infectious diseases as well as collaboration with the NYU Langone Medical Center.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a DDS/DMD degree, have completed a CODA approved post graduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and be a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. Qualified candidates must be eligible for a New York State dental license.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate evidence of scholarly activity that has advanced knowledge in the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Oral and Maxillofacial diagnosis. Candidates at the Associate Professor level will be expected to have a record of research accomplishments including extramural funding.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
