Job Summary
This position is responsible for primarily executing the purchasing activates related to New Restaurant Openings, Reimages and Global Franchisees. This includes creation of budgets, placing purchase orders and coordinating consolidation and deliveries to job sites. This individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners (Construction, Design, Restaurant Opening and Global teams). It is critical to ensure timely processing and delivery of required materials and requests while maintaining company standards and SOX compliance.
Your Key Job Functions

  • Manage the overall process for creating and issuing purchase orders and requisitions for NRO's and Reimages. This includes coordination of consolidation and delivery of FFE to the job sites.
  • Review and validate NRO and Reimage plans to c reate budgets utilized by Design and Construction to prepare Project AFEs. This information is utilized by Supply Chain to process necessary purchase orders.
  • Attend weekly NRO and Reimage meetings to update team on any Supply Chain opportunities or issues that may arise. This is also the opportunity to gather information that may affect orders, deliveries or change in scope.
  • Track Change Orders and update budgets as necessary. Adjust purchase orders to ensure correct products are ordered and adjust deliveries with freight forwarders, and suppliers.
  • Communicate with Construction and Design teams to gather information on incoming construction schedules and communicate to suppliers. Be proactive in communicating any changes to the schedules through course of construction to avoid any delays on deliveries.
  • Gather and document order information including serial numbers, warranty info, and service providers for all equipment purchased. Communicate this information to appropriate stakeholders. (National Accounts and Corrigo).
  • Communicate directly with General Contractors and/or job site Superintendents to communicate delivery of goods and possible delays in shipments as well as other issues that arise.
  • Work directly with the KES providers on a weekly basis to confirm projects are on time and confirm inbound shipments from suppliers are arriving complete and timely.
  • Work closely with the New Restaurant Opening team to ensure opening orders are complete. This may include working with suppliers and service providers on equipment issues that arise at install, also expediting additional orders at operations request.
  • Preparation of export documentation for Global (non-domestic) orders to ensure compliance with various government import regulations around the globe.
  • Develop, manage, and reconcile the "Prepaid Account Budget" for services provided to Franchisees (domestic and global) as it relates to FFE sales.
  • Support Domestic Franchisees by managing proposals and quotes for requests using appropriate department processes & technology.
  • Analyze quotes related to freight and warehousing to develop recommendations. Work with Legal to ensure the appropriate business terms are incorporated into all resulting agreements.
  • Coordinate with Category Managers to ensure all suppliers have sufficient products and that they can meet development schedules for Corporate & Franchise projects.
  • Ensure JDE/Oracle catalogs and pricing are updated by working directly with Category Managers, Materials Purchasing Buyer, and suppliers.
  • Provide updates to Supply Chain team members, and Design and Construction leadership on day-to-day processes and key initiates.
  • Back up the Materials Buyer in the support of Facilities, Restaurants and Global teams and other departments with processing product requisitions and generation of purchase orders.
  • Supervise & manage special projects and product execution as it relates to the purchase process, logistics and consolidation. Convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure in a positive and productive manner.
  • Ensure that Brinker's Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealings with all suppliers and distributors.

W hat You Bring to the Team

  • 3-5 years of supply chain experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with foodservice equipment, FFE, signage and related services. KES and consolidation experience is a firm requirement.
  • Technical Knowledge - possesses broad and deep technical non-food procurement knowledge, including smallwares, kitchen equipment, furniture and fixtures and signage as well as service providers.
  • Project Management - The ability to read and understand construction drawings as they relate to heart of the house and front of the house projects to determine needs and create budgets and purchase orders.
  • Negotiation/Analytical Skills - Ability to plan and conduct complex negotiations and perform complex analysis of freight and consolidations costs.
  • Computer Skills - Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, a working knowledge of with JDE/Oracle software is required. Must be able to create spreadsheets, use formulas, graph data, and create professional looking output.
  • Presentation Skills - Ability to make clear, concise and convincing business presentations that will have high level impact with senior level management.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent written and verbal ability to deal independently with Brinker team members and suppliers. M ust be capable of synthesizing information and presenting it in format desired and understood by the listener.
  • Influencing - Makes an impact on the organization by demonstrating subject matter expertise and influencing others' actions and results, with or without formal authority.
  • Judgment/Decision Making - Ability to analyze complex data and make appropriate business judgments based on sound reasoning, problem solving, and financial analysis.   • Organization - Strong ability to work under pressure and short timelines, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines as required. Must be able to work on several complex projects simultaneously and proactively re-prioritize projects as needs change.
  • Relationship management - Ability to interact effectively both formally and informally, f oster trust and cooperation among coworkers, franchise partners, and suppliers. Understands and effectively navigates organizational politics, demonstrates Brinker Cultural Beliefs, and uses the Culture of Accountability to accomplish objectives.

Education/Training
  • BA/BS or equivalent in experience, skills and training.
  • JDE/Oracle experience highly preferred
