What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the Government/SSA DCM business, you will become an integral part of the fabric of CIBC’s New York based debt capital markets team. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring you to effectively process information in the course of executing transactions in a constantly changing market environment. The successful candidate will therefore need to adapt to these conditions with creativity, energy and an entrepreneurial spirit in order to meet the evolving demands of the marketplace.
How You’ll Succeed
Our DCM business provides Associates with an opportunity to build upon the knowledge and experience that they have likely already gained in either a previous DCM and/or comparable capital markets role. Associates will need to be effective communicators capable of building relationships both internally and with clients. As an Associate, you will have the responsibility of drafting pitch decks, comparable lists and market overview presentations. Additionally, you will provide detailed analytics, financial modeling, structuring, research and transaction support to senior professionals in your business, helping to win business and execute transactions. Finally, it is expected that you would be capable of assuming increasing levels of responsibility as it relates to engaging with our clients from both an administrative and transaction support perspective.
