The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Associate HR Generalist - 3rd Shift (Onsite - York, PA).
The HR Associate Generalist position supports the result areas of recruitment, benefits, employee relations, labor agreement administration and HR process support for the assigned facility or functions. This role coordinates the employment process for the staffing of non-exempt , exempt and / or bargaining unit positions; assures consistent application of procedures/ guidelines on employment-related processes, such as requisition job postings, and applicant tracking; troubleshoots and assists in the resolution of employee problems relating to benefits; updates and audits the automated records found in HR Information Systems and applicant tracking software; participates in investigation procedure, and collects and analyzes data to support internal and external complaints and other employment-related issues; and collaborates to set specific plans for team-based HR goals.
- Customer Service - Responsible for assisting employees with Human Resources requests, i.e. benefits, paycheck shortages, and other information. Takes the initiative to resolve problems and identifies alternate solutions. Actively seeks to improve level of service through continuous improvement activities. Represents the Human Resources Department in all situations.
- EEO/Affirmative Action - Understands adverse impact analysis and uses AAP data to ensure progress toward affirmative action objectives relating to recruitment and selection. Proactively develops recruitment strategies to ensure a diverse qualified candidate pool and that EEO goals are attained.
- HRIS/Automated Records - Based on location, may be responsible for maintaining the applicant tracking database for manufacturing operations requisitions. May provide back up to Administrative Support on entering of information and transactions in Human Resources employee management system and queries database to provide reports as needed.
- Labor Agreement Administration (if app. by site) - May be responsible for administering the areas of the labor agreement which involve the bidding and selection of employees for positions under the jurisdiction of our unions. May administer labor agreement programs.
- Recruitment (if applicable by site) - May develop systems and processes to ensure fair, legal, and effective selection and placement of hourly personnel. May establish applicant flow, screen applicants, conduct testing, interview and recommend hire for non-exempt bargaining unit positions. May coach interviewing teams regarding fair employment practices. May direct reference checks and activities used to confirm applicant information. May coordinate and monitor the posting log, prepare recruitment materials, and back up administrative assistant with interview set-up, and applicant correspondence when required. May coordinate recruitment and obtain necessary resources to ensure a highly qualified applicant pool for assigned positions. Responds proactively to employment law issues. - Awareness of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Human Resources in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Compensation/Benefits, HRIS, and Training
- Knowledge of professional guidelines on selection processes, equal employment opportunity law and affirmative action compliance requirements;
- Proficiency in the use of a variety of software programs in a Windows operating environment, preferably Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, strong time management skills, and strong organization skills

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
