Description

Are you an HR Generalist building a career in HR who would benefit from exposure to Senior HR Consultants, a variety of industries and organizations, and HR resources to expand knowledge and support career growth as a Human Resources professional? Do you thrive on building relationships and providing hands-on support to solve real-time issues related to recruitment and meet the needs of clients? As a full-time Associate HR Consultant, your assignments may consist of short-term recruitment engagements with multiple member organizations in addition to learning and supporting additional services offered by Archbright including Compensation and hourly Human Resources Consulting. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist or Recruiting experience and are willing to learn all aspects of federal and Washington state employment law.

 

The HR Associate performs work in support of member Consulting projects. The work is typically HR Generalist or HR Specialist work such as job description updates, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS administration, Affirmative Action plan creation, and job pricing. The work is done following Archbright s best practices, under the supervision of the Consulting Manager, a Senior HR Consultant, or a Senior Compensation Consultant.  

 

This role requires a combination of in-person and remote work for members. Attendance for in-person Archbright team meetings and events is required.  

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Operational HR engagements that may include: job description updates, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, and HRIS administration, employee relations, as well as other duties. The work may be as the solo HR Consultant, or in support of a Senior HR Consultant

Flat Fee Recruiting assignments which include: 

  • Participation in intake conversations with members and other internal employees.  
  • Creation of unique and personalized job postings based on information collected in intake calls with members.  
  • Posting jobs on an internal ATS and external job boards as necessary.  
  • Sourcing passive candidates through various job boards.  
  • Screening applicants who meet member qualifications.  
  • Prepare and maintain weekly status reports per assigned open positions and communicate updates.  
  • Provide appropriate feedback to members regarding applicant feedback as necessary.  

 

AAP plan creation which includes: 

  • Create AAP plans utilizing data provided by members and AAP plan creation software. 

Compensation support which includes: 

  • Matching jobs to salary survey data for review by a Senior Compensation Consultant 
  • Reviewing salary survey data to determine if outliers should be deleted 
  • Answering member questions about participating and utilizing the salary survey 

 

Other projects as assigned which may include: 

  • HR Check Ups 
  • EEO1 reporting 
  • HR record reviews 
  • Policy updates 
  • Performing audit activities 
  • Incorporating handbook edits recommended by Archbright attorneys 
  • Serving as a note taker in a Strategic HR project 
  • Utilizes Archbright’s best practices for all services and contributes to the continuous improvement and documentation of best practices. 

 

Essential Skills and Abilities for this Role: 

  • Basic understanding of Washington State and Federal employment law. 
  • Experience working and collaborating with internal resources and staff, supervisors and managers. 
  • Proven ability to present in a knowledgeable, confident, friendly, and professional manner over the telephone, in email, and in-person with members and internal team members. 
  • Judgment sufficient to identify when a question or issue requires escalation and/or legal advice. 
  • Dedication to quality and accuracy, as well as timely service to members. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. 
  • Ability to achieve utilization goals set by Archbright.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None 

 

Education and Experience:  

Required: Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience  

Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree 

Preferred: Recruitment experience preferred  

Preferred: HRIS experience preferred 

Preferred: Knowledge of employee relations 

 

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: 

Preferred: Current APHR, PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification  

 

Technical Skills: 

Required: Excellent MS Office Suite experience, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel

The employee may need to sit for extended periods of time utilizing eyes, fingers, hands, arms, to use mouse, keyboard, and monitor.  

 

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to computer monitors and shared workspaces, if/when required to work from a shared office space. 

The salary range for this role is between $62,322 to $76,171 annually.
