Job Summary
Associate Enrollment Counselors are critical not only to our business, but to the students that they support. Each Associate Enrollment Counselor represents a partner university where they guide prospective students on the entire enrollment process from inquiry to application submission. You are counted on to provide thorough information about a school’s degree programs and serve as a link between various campus departments such as transcripts, tuition, and credit transfers. Depending on the needs of the individual student, Associate Enrollment Counselors provide not only guidance on processes, but support through the various obstacles a student may encounter. As an Associate Enrollment Counselor, your ultimate responsibility is to support students in pursuit of their education goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Presenting the various programs and services of our partner schools to prospective students by guiding them through a process of career choices, educational options, and enrollment procedures.
- Facilitate student enrollment and guide potential students through their educational selection process.
- Build a strong relationship with students by having the ability to listen, identify their needs, and follow the Student Engagement Model.
- Managing student inquiries and applications, making phone calls, scheduling appointments, and conducting informational interviews, ensuring compliance via proper documentation, and following up with enrolled students.
- Respond to information requests about our partner schools, qualify and enroll students, and complete the application process to ensure the student successfully meets their college education goals.
- Achieves daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics pertaining to outbound call volume, appointments/follow ups, applications, and deadlines established by your direct manager.
- Documents all student activity and progress throughout the enrollment process in various technology systems.
- Collaborates among team and other departments including contact center, student operations and retention to share insights and bring new ideas to the forefront on how we can better support students and our process.
Job Requirements
- Require a minimum of bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
- Preferred work experience in education, training, customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, or people service-related industries.
- Will consider recent graduates with a passion for customer service, sales, or related industry.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone manners.
- Have interpersonal skills to interact with students, management, and peers.
- Have the willingness to become proficient in navigating customer relationship management systems and multiple software systems while communicating with students.
- Are self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Have a strong command of the English language, in both oral and written form.
- Can work one to two evenings a week until 8:00 PM, Monday-Thursday depending on partner school needs.
