Associate Director of Sales
Remote - **Must live in the Los Angeles, California area.
Our quality products have a heritage dating back to the early 1800’s at the Hempler’s family sausage kitchen in Borken, Germany. Hans Hempler worked in the family sausage business in Germany as a youngster. He served as an apprentice sausage maker and learned first-hand the family’s old secret recipes becoming a master sausage maker before moving to the United States. Hans came to the United States in 1928 and, in those early years, worked hard and saved his money. It is our mission, and passion, to produce and distribute the highest quality products, while operating with the highest integrity and standards for personalized service to our customers. Hemplers Food Group has processing facilities in Kent and Ferndale Washington. Whether it’s pork, chicken, or beef, we are committed to quality, premium, meats being sold through multiple channels, Grocery, Club, Mass, and foodservice.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Associate Director of Sales at Hempler Foods Group is responsible for working with retail chain accounts and independent groups. This person’s primary responsibility is to foster mutually rewarding relationships with our trade partners while achieving the targeted KPI’s.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm Remote.
Wage: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually, subject to all required taxes and withholdings. _ *“Geographic differential applied to candidates who reside outside of the Greater Seattle area.”_
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiate all sales prices, promotions, terms, and conditions specified by company leadership.
- Enhance and manage all customer partnerships at key accounts through customer relations and effective customer management.
- Seek and implement new business opportunities within operating area.
- Work and coordinate with local broker network to achieve desired results.
- Responsible for operating area of responsibility’s P&L’s, sales targets, distribution goals, and margin requirements
- Interacting with cross-functional teams and levels of management at Hemplers.
- Responsible for driving new business.
- Provide executive level of reporting in the form of Sales and marketing plans, budgets and forecasting, and progress towards KPI’s.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in retail consumer packaged goods – Meat Specific
- Experience in sales management in a leading retail packaged meat company.
- Negotiate all sales prices, promotions, terms, and conditions specified by company.
- Oversees the pioneering of the Hempler Family of brand items in new markets.
- Analytical problem solver
- Able to effectively manage multiple accounts at the same time.
- Able to work remote and be affective.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
