Essential Job Functions
Cloud computing is a key driver of business innovation that will enable attorneys and staff to realize the value of modern technology. The purpose of this role is to technically lead the implementation of Cloud related initiatives, capabilities, and solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
- Responsible for assisting in the development of the roadmap for cloud related work and then developing proposals to support the planned work, including IT team design, usage of third parties, and budgets.
- Responsible for understanding business needs, assisting in the development of project/initiative charters, including working with Enterprise Architecture to determine which providers or Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (“COTS”) solutions may be applicable, establishing the proper staffing model and contracts to perform the work, working with IT Organization Change Management (“OCM”) to develop the proper change and adoption plans and then leading the implementation team through the tailored lifecycle, including rollout, adoption, and support.
- Responsible for the delivery of the stated business value for the initiatives, capabilities, and solutions.
- Where applicable, responsible for establishing and ensuring the effectiveness of proper governance or operations needed for the implemented initiatives, capabilities, and solutions.
- Responsible for the initial growth and adoption of the implemented initiatives, capabilities, and solutions.
- Travel may be needed from time to time to meet with key stakeholders or to enhance understanding of various business applications, underlying platform(s) and technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education, Work Experience, Skills
- Ten (10) years of experience in leadership of technical product, IT, or services implementation roles.
- 5 years of experience in proposal and solution development, and subcontracts development and negotiation, including negotiation of support terms and Service Level Agreements.
- 5 years of experience in the development of IT implementation plans and leadership of Cloud initiatives, capabilities, and solutions.
- Significant executive presence, including strong listening, writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience in matrix organization and in managing service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or equivalent experience.
