The Center for Children's Surgery (CCS) is a multi-disciplinary center within University of Colorado's School of Medicine (SOM), operating in partnership with the Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO). The purpose of the Center is to represent and support faculty that specialize in providing surgical care to children. The CCS is committed to promoting the continued growth and development of CCS members towards fulfilling multiple missions of both the SOM and CHCO.

The ASIC-RI will provide strategic medical leadership and direction for Surgical Research and Innovation across the Center for Children's Surgery (CCS). Scope of responsibility will include strategic research and innovation program development, business development, provider recruitment and retention as well as ensuring growth and support of outstanding faculty research and innovation productivity. A primary responsibility is establishing accountability with providers regarding CHCO/SOM policies and procedures as they relate to Research and Innovation. This is a key member of the CCS executive leadership team and participates in all strategic discussions and operational planning.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $50,000-$200,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
MD or PhD
Appointment or pending appointment as full-time academic faculty at The University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM)
Board certified or equivalent in specialty if appropriate
History of active research program including internal and or external grant funding
Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability to integrate clinical, quality/patient safety, management, and financial concepts within a pediatric, academic healthcare setting
Demonstrates strong leadership skills, including interpersonal communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, problem resolution, decision-making and project/change management
Experience with academic inovation processes
Has supported the multi-component missions of clinical care, research, education, advocacy, stewardship, and diversity/equity/inclusion in previous roles.
