The Role
As a Cyber and Cyber & Disaster Recovery Expert at Kyndryl, you will play a critical role in helping our clients develop and implement effective Cyber and Disaster recovery Solutions. Leveraging your deep expertise in a range of Cyber & Disaster recovery solutions and technologies, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, assessing their unique needs and risks. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
  • Assessment and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' existing Cyber & Disaster recovery and business continuity plans, utilizing tools such as Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Commvault, Spectrum Protect, and Veritas NetBackup.
    • Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and weaknesses in clients' infrastructure and operations, addressing them with solutions like Zerto or Dell EMC RecoverPoint.
    • Analyze potential Cyber & Disaster scenarios and their impact on business operations, using insights from cloud providers like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strategy Development:
    • Collaborate with clients to design and develop Cyber & Disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, integrating virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
    • Create comprehensive documentation outlining recovery objectives, procedures, and timelines, utilizing tools such as Visio and document management systems like SharePoint.
  • Solution Implementation:
    • Configure and implement Cyber & Disaster recovery solutions such as backup systems (e.g., Commvault, Acronis Backup), data replication technologies (e.g., Zerto, AWS DataSync), and cloud-based recovery services (e.g., AWS Cyber & Disaster Recovery, Microsoft Azure Site Recovery).
    • Ensure that clients' systems and data are backed up, secure, and easily recoverable in case of Cyber & Disaster, while adhering to network and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Conduct regular Cyber & Disaster recovery testing and validation exercises, leveraging monitoring and alerting tools like Nagios and SolarWinds.
    • Make necessary adjustments and improvements based on testing results, utilizing automation tools like Puppet and Ansible.
  • Training and Education:
    • Provide training and guidance to client teams on Cyber & Disaster recovery best practices and procedures, drawing on your expertise in compliance and risk management software such as RSA Archer and MetricStream.
    • Promote a culture of preparedness and awareness within client organizations, including incident response and communication tools like mass notification systems and collaboration platforms.
  • Incident Response:
    • Assist clients in developing incident response plans, utilizing your knowledge of cloud services and providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
    • Participate in incident response activities and provide expert guidance during crisis situations, collaborating with network security solutions like Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Networks.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of Cyber & Disaster recovery plans, configurations, and test results, effectively using the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Generate regular reports for clients and management on the status of Cyber & Disaster recovery preparedness, ensuring transparency and accountability.

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $123,740 to $ 222,730 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experence. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of proven hands-on experience in Cyber & Disaster recovery solution design, planning, and implementation for large organizations.
- Hands-on expertise with one or more tools in the following areas:
  • Backup and Recovery Solutions: Veeam Backup & Replication, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Acronis Backup.
  • Data Replication Technologies: Zerto, Dell EMC RecoverPoint, AWS DataSync, Microsoft Azure Site Recovery.
  • Cloud-Based Cyber & Disaster Recovery Services: AWS Cyber & Disaster Recovery, Microsoft Azure Site Recovery, Google Cloud Cyber & Disaster Recovery, IBM Cloud Resiliency Orchestration.
  • Virtualization and Containerization Platforms: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Kubernetes (for containerized applications).
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) Solutions: Dell EMC Unity, NetApp AFF (All Flash FAS), HPE 3PAR StoreServ.
  • Network and Infrastructure Security: Firewall solutions (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), VPN technologies.
  • Cyber & Disaster Recovery Orchestration and Automation: VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), IBM Resilience Orchestration, Puppet, Ansible.
  • Cloud Services and Cloud Providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud.
  • Monitoring and Alerting Tools: Nagios, SolarWinds, Prometheus, Splunk.
  • Compliance and Risk Management Software: RSA Archer, MetricStream, ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Incident Response and Communication Tools: Mass notification systems, Collaboration platforms.
  • Documentation and Reporting Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Document management systems.

- In-depth knowledge of relevant compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 22301).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
