Dubak Electrical Group is currently seeking an entry level Associate Controls Engineerto perform control systems design, programming, and implementation for our manufacturing clients. This position will be located in our La Grange Park, Illinois office. Our leading edge services provide exciting career opportunities within the industrial construction industry.
Primary position responsibilities, not limited to other tasks that may be assigned according to the project or needs of our client:
- The Associate Controls Engineer will work the Controls Engineer(s) and Senior Controls Engineer(s) for the controls portion of industrial control system projects and will contribute to the delivery of project design, programming, testing, startup, commissioning, documentation, and training of the customer.
- Electrical & Controls Design capability and working knowledge using AutoCAD
- Layout & design ability for electrical, motor, and system control panels
- Experience and working knowledge of UL508A Standards
- Troubleshooting control system issues, helping support existing client applications
- Control System Programming: SCADA, HMI, and PLC code development
- Work within project teams consisting of clients, electrical engineers, control system programmers, and information system programmers to deliver integrated automation solutions
- Provide plant check-out, commissioning, and start-up services at customer sites
- Traveling for this position is required, estimated at 30%-40%
Qualifications for this position:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in PLC & HMI programming within the Allen Bradley/ Rockwell software suite & applicable control panel hardware. (Entry Level)
- Control & Automation experience / knowledge (Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
