Job Overview:
PENNEP is seeking a highly skilled motivated Associate Business Data Analyst to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate should know how to define project scope, create timelines, and manage resources. Also, ensure that the deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
The role will leverage data analysis and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Python).The ability to leverage these technologies in a continuous improvement environment alongside documenting and disseminating processes will enable professional success.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Initiate and assist in the implementation of departmental process improvements utilizing key technologies and tools, such as Excel and the suite of Microsoft 365 products (Power BI / Power Automate); assist with documentation of said improvements by preparing process manuals, maps, and checklists for the tax team staff relating to revised processes and use of tools.
- Maintain tax systems for the tax reporting and compliance processes.
- Support the Tax Planning team with data analytics and modelling scenarios.
- Partner with Information Technology and Finance teams to coordinate on implementation of company-wide transformation initiatives.
- Assist tax team with the data intensive tax computations associated with US federal, state, and international tax compliance.
- Prepare various state and federal tax returns and analyze tax accounts as needed.
- Assist in collecting and analysing financial data for purposes of calculating the quarterly and year-end income tax provisions.
- Assist with the US and foreign tax provision portion for financial statement income tax disclosures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in data, and statistical analysis strongly preferred.
- Strong in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, data management and data integration skills with an ability to organize, analyze and correlate data information.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non- technical stakeholders across the globe and in a virtual work environment.
Education:
University Degree (Equivalent to bachelor's degree) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer, Science, Finance or a related discipline.
