We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst specializing in Data Transformation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the transformation of financial data within the asset management and asset servicing sectors, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading complex Data Transformation projects directly into the buy side and will have the ability to deal with the complexity of financial products and their datasets in an SME capacity.
This role will be in the Client Delivery team. The team is involved across the full client lifecycle and is prominent in ongoing relationship management and implementation. They are responsible for effective governance of all client-facing contracts. Internally, the team works closely with Engineering, Sales Engineering, Sales, Platform and Finance teams ensuring that resources are directed correctly and the status of each client is fully understood.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and be responsible for supporting and delivering large and complex enterprise infrastructure remodeling programs, using FINBOURNE's proprietary market-leading software. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging the senior stakeholders of FINBOURNE's clients throughout the project implementation lifecycle, from initiation to BAU handover.
Key responsibilities:

• Be the lead Business Analyst for the company across large and complex Data Transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain data mapping and Data Transformation models to facilitate the seamless integration of financial data.
• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure successful integration of Data Transformation solutions, aligning with business needs and objectives.
• Elicit requirements from the client for build consideration into Finbourne's feature roadmap.
• Study our client's set of process inefficiencies and consult with product to build suitable features.
• Implement and execute testing strategies to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of transformed data.
• Being a Finbourne SME in in financial instruments and their data sets, mapping clients data to the LUSID data model.
• Being an SME in the wider LUSID platform, including instrument events processing, PnL and valuations.
• Identifying innovative, effective and scalable approaches to tackle our clients business change problems.
• Acting in a business consultancy capacity; managing competing requirements, configuring and managing workshops with clients.
• Liaising with other workstreams to help define cross-functional solutions and operating models.
• Liaising with technical delivery teams throughout the change lifecycle; managing the relationships.
• Providing regular updates, through the appropriate channels and tools, on the status and progress of projects and minor works.
• Support the overall project: including coordination of resources, priorities, issue and risks, scheduling, stakeholders' communication and post-implementation review.
• Using JIRA, Dynamics and contributing to the RAID logs to manage deliveries with the sales engineers, implementation consultants & client developers.
• Building strong and productive relationships with key client stakeholders and influencing outcomes.

The skills, experience and qualifications we require:

• At least 15 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Data Transformation within the financial services sector, in a large-scale programme across multiple workstreams
• SME level financial product knowledge across a broad range of traditional asset classes and their derivatives.
• Complete understanding of buy side operations across the product lifecycle, including some or all of the following, Chart of Accounts, General Ledger posting, NAV and P&L calculations, corporate action processing, trade booking, cash/income forecasting, and FX exposure, custody management, stock loan and settlement, performance measurement and client/operational reporting.
• Experience in large scale technology and data migration design across asset classes.
• Deep Understanding of market participants and the roles they play (brokers and market makers, custodians, prime brokers, exchanges, vendors, middle and back-office outsourcers, fund services etc.)
• Experience in creating and maintaining project documentation such as Project Initiation Documentation (PID), Business Requirements Documentation (BRD), Project Plans and RAID logs Is preferable.
• Experience in current and future state technical architecture and business process mapping is preferable.
• An entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to build new processes and procedures that will add value to a start-up enterprise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to articulate and present thoughts and proposals to senior stakeholders.
• Relevant degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent qualification
• Evidence of a structured approach to analysis and documentation, using recognized tools and techniques
• Experience of Agile/iterative delivery and contribution to/creation of business cases
• Ability to lead, and the gravitas to deal with all corporate levels internally & externally.
• Business analysis qualification preferred as well as a recognized industry qualification, IMC, CFA or working towards
