We are seeking a a full time Associate Attorney - Family Law to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Siginificant client contact, working with clients from post-intake through discovery to conclusion
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on implications of divorce law on their case
- Negotiate settlements
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
We are a small, well respected law firm with commitment to mentorship, concetrating in Family Law matters. Ideal candidate will have background in Cook County Domestic Relations Division or the collar counties. Or, lateral candidate will come from practice area with significant client contact and is litigation based.
