Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Description:

Workers Compensation Defense Attorneys is a workers' compensation defense firm representing insurance carriers and employers for over 50 years. With our office located in Chicago, we handle cases throughout Illinois. We are looking for a dynamic candidate for an Associate Attorney position in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:

• Represent the interests of insurance carriers and employers in claims filed by injured workers from inception though closure, including depositions, pre-trials, trials, and oral arguments
• Advise clients on legal matters
• Help investigate accidents and potential defenses
• Negotiate settlement on behalf of clients

Qualifications:

• Admission to practice law in Illinois
• 2+ years of relevant experience in workers' compensation preferred but not necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify legal issues and develop strategies to resolve them
