Job Description
Under the supervision of Senior Supervising Attorneys, the associate oversees all aspects of litigation, including developing cases and legal theories, discovery, motion practice, trials, appeals.
Drafts briefs, motions, memos, and other documents in support of litigation and policy work.
Communicates with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures.
Full time attorneys or those part-time attorneys who work the requisite number of hours, would be eligible for competitive benefits to include health insurance, 401K (after one year of service), profit sharing, annual reviews for raises, bonuses based on quality of work and performance, among other benefits.
REQUIREMENTS –
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana and be in good standing.
• Candidates must have at least 5-10 years of substantive litigation experience, also looking for one with 3-5 years’ experience
• Have excellent writing, research, and verbal communication skills and
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
