The University of Tennessee's Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Audiology faculty position (at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor). Responsibilities include teaching, supervising student research, conducting research in an area of interest, and service. The ideal applicant will have experience teaching, publishing, presenting, and grant-writing in his/her area of expertise in Audiology or Hearing Science.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

         An earned Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Audiology, Hearing Science, or related fields.

         Strong record of scholarship commensurate with academic level in peer-reviewed journals and at professional meetings. 

        Desire to work in a dynamic and collegial academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

         Teaching experience in courses related to his/her area of expertise in Audiology or Hearing Science.

         Experience publishing, presenting, and seeking extramural funding to support a research program.

         Experience mentoring student research.

The College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Audiology faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology (http://www.uthsc.edu/asp/). Applicants with experience in anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, audiologic assessment, electrophysiology, and/or hearing conservation are preferred but other areas of expertise will be considered. The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is physically located on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville and is part of the College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
