Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Core Operations will act as the catalyst for ensuring that the Symitar Core platform operates efficiently and in accordance with the credit union's business objectives.
In this capacity, the Assistant Vice President of Core Operations will oversee the provision of administrative guidance, software development, and essential support for the data processing environment's daily operations. The AVP, Core Operations will partner with key members of the IT group and collaborate with the Chief Information Officer to facilitate the implementation of initiatives, champion innovation, and ensure efficient utilization of the technologies that hinge upon the Symitar Core environment. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, plus a minimum of six (6) years of Core Operations and programming expertise is needed.
This individual must have an extensive working knowledge of the Symitar platform and data structure with a keen understanding of the PowerOn programming structure and environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with cross-functional project teams, and knowledge of SymConnect/SymXchange is a plus.
