Position Overview
DB Global Technology Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President, Engineer in Cary, North Carolina to apply knowledge of voice engineering best practices, including engineering standards and reviews, testing, and operations. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience designing, developing and maintaining voice system applications. Must include two (2) years of experience maintaining engineering standards for the Voice technology infrastructure; developing IPT systems and identifying technologies that operate with high availability, comply with Global Standards as well as internal policies, reduce cost and risk, and increase system productivity; creating reusable frameworks, new technology requirements and driving standardization; coordinating release artefacts including release schedules, milestones, release scope, risk, and issues; troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with the release and implementation of upgrades to production systems, and handling escalations; creating and implementing test plans; evaluating work flow and automating system processes to increase efficiency; executing performance tuning to existing systems; performing migration initiatives; installing, configuring, and maintaining Avaya CM, Avaya Session Manager, and Avaya System Manager; and in executing duties, utilizing Unified Communications, Session Border Controllers, NICE Voice Recording, PRI, Carrier-SIP, SIP, H.323, various voice codecs, IP-telephony, Linux, Unix, Cisco Meeting Server, Networking, Security, and Oracle. #DNI
