Who we are looking for

With immediate effect we are sourcing for experience Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Professional to join our AML & Sanctions Screening group which manages enterprise systems that using sophisticated algorithms, screen names on transactions and entities (customers, investors, securities, brokers, and vendors) against government and industry provided lists. This screening is done to fight financial crimes and support foreign policy and national security goals of jurisdictions in which State Street performs business, against targeted foreign countries and regimes, terrorists, international narcotics traffickers, those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and other threats to the national security, foreign policy or economy. The AML & Sanctions Screening program is enhancing these screening capabilities and will continue to expand the scope of screening to further enhance our Compliance program. As the regulatory expectations continue to rise and the industry evolves, we are assembling a strong team that can continue to improve these screening services and meet the demands of the business units we support. The AML & Sanctions Screening group is looking for an experienced individual who will be part of maintain these systems, implementing enhancements, upgrade‘s that are integrated with core and critical systems across the bank, and will therefore require careful management and thoughtful analysis.

This role will be performed in a hybrid model 4 days in the office,1 day remote.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regulatory and internal list for various screening tools based on expectations laid in the screening standards
  • Analyze output of screening systems to create systemic rules that can suppress recurring false matches (a.k.a. False Hit Mitigation)
  • User set up and annual user certification for AML Compliance applications
  • Assist with reporting for management and other stakeholders
  • Review and revisit procedures and controls to make them effective and efficient
  • Generate and publish reports to Compliance and global stakeholders
  • Liaise with local and global Compliance, business and technology teams
  • Work closely with the offshore team extension in handoff of tasks
  • Review of tasks performed by peers (second set of eyes)
  • Some weekend work for business testing and other initiatives will be expected

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • ACAMS certifications preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Firco Continuity (Transaction) and Firco Trust (Entity) screening or other screening (a.k.a. watch list filtering) systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of financial transaction types such as SWIFT MT and MX, FED Wires, CHIPS, SEPA, ACH, etc. is a plus
  • Familiarity with sanction screening (a.k.a. watch list filtering), False Hit Mitigation techniques, and similar operational activities is preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong abilities in analytical thinking, problem-solving, research, and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks in a high-pressure deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to liaise with the business and technology teams utilizing collaboration and relationship management skills

Salary Range:

$90000 - $142500 Annual
