Job Summary: As the Residential ConstructionAssistant Superintendent, you will oversee on-site activities for residential building projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, high-quality completion while adhering to building codes. Responsibilities include project scheduling, client/supplier relations, safety enforcement, document review, subcontractor coordination, equipment maintenance, and necessary construction work, all aimed at safeguarding the company's interests.
What You'll Do:
- Schedule management, including creation, review, and communication with subcontractors, and maintaining project logs and documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, team members, and project stakeholders to enhance project cohesion.
- Proactively ensure site safety by obtaining OSHA 30-Hour Certification, enforcing safety protocols, leading safety meetings, and reporting incidents promptly.
- Manage construction documents, interpret plans and specifications, review project constructability, and maintain 'as-built' records.
- Supervise construction trades and subcontractors, coordinate quality control, manage material orders, inspections, punch list, and maintain a tidy job site and office.
- Maintain equipment and vehicle functionality, oversee power tool inventory, and schedule regular maintenance.
- Manage construction work, maintain site cleanliness, perform construction tasks, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- 3-5 years’ relevant construction experience or equivalent.
- Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications.
- Knowledgeable in safety standards and their enforcement.
- Proven communition, negotiation, critical thinking and time management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in math and reading comprehention and basic computer skills.
- Strong leadership adn team management skills.
- Valid driver's license and insurability.
