Summary
Looking for talented, experienced automotive technicians to join the Jaguar/Land Rover technical workshop team located in their new state-of-the-art facility in Mahwah, NJ. Partial duties to include Service/repair/diagnostic of fleet/pre-production and re-acquired vehicles. Knowledge of JLR specific advanced diagnostics and repair methods a plus.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Diagnosis, rework, and robust validation (including road testing vehicles before and after rework for quality control and feedback) of company vehicles to ensure JLR product standards and customer expectation is met. Company vehicles will include Company fleet, training, press, early production, re-acquired vehicles
Conduct pre-delivery inspection
Provide technical support on field evaluation units and special project vehicles
Prepare new model launch vehicles and support new model launch events by providing onsite technical support as determined by JLRNA
Ensure vehicle is adequately protected while it is being worked on
Follow published documentation relating to service, diagnostic and maintenance process/procedures (e.g. TOPIx)
Provide product feedback to JLRNA (e.g. ePQR) entered in GCM system to identify new and emerging issues
Maintain diagnostic tools (e.g. SDD.Pathfinder) and hand scan tools (e.g. ST512) to most recent software level
Perform general workshop responsibilities as needed
Perform other duties as required
What you bring
Requires self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office applications
Clean driving record, background and drug test required
Must maintain High Standards
Works well under pressure
Manages business complexity
Must have ability to maintain a professional level communication in English
Elevated level of proficiency with the use of computer technical service tools
Reynolds & Reynolds DMS experience a plus
Must possess a demonstrated ability to operate successfully in business environment
Must possess the physical capabilities necessary to accomplish the tasks assigned to the program including a minimum of 50 lbs. without sustaining injury
Minimum of High School Degree or Equivalent
Use equipment consistent with industry standards
ASE Certification or state certification as required; electrical certifications preferred
Seven years in an automotive service environment, Experience with JLR brands preferred
Electrical Vehicle certification is preferred
Level III certification or equivalent desired
