Assist the site Superintendent in decision-making and problem solving. Maintain a good cooperating relationship with architects, engineers, property managers, subcontractors, employees, materials suppliers, the tenants and the general public. Keep accurate and adequate records.
3 - 5 years in residential construction preferred; we'll train ambitious entry-level learner. Understand plans and specifications. Maintain good current understanding of applicable building codes, zoning ordinances, OSHA requirements and other legal restrictions.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design - Work on design problems. Maintain as built drawings.
- Scheduling - Direct and schedule the work of sub-contractors. Maintain accurate and complete tracking of job starts, construction schedules and materials lost from job sites. Schedule municipal inspections.
- Materials Management - Confirm deliveries and material supply orders.
- Safety Standards - Maintain first aid kits, OSHA, SDS and safety program information.
- Quality Control - Perform quality control and punch list checklists.
