Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Taylor's Bakery. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our president in the day-to-day operations of the bakery and ensuring exceptional service for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of bakery operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, fostering a welcoming and positive environment for both customers and team members.
- Help develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets, including promotional events, upselling techniques, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of bakery staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them excel in their roles.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and coordinating product orders to ensure availability of fresh bakery items for customers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the store president to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize bakery performance and profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and reporting as assigned by the president.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to support bakery operations.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
