Our Team is look for a Server Assistant. They will be responsible for ensuring that all guests’ expectations are consistently met by exceeding The Press Club Grill Standards. The Server Assistant’s responsibilities include preparing and refilling beverages, assisting servers with processing payments, removing trash, and sanitizing restaurant menus. Server Assistant’s should also be able to perform and-of-day clean-up duties.
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Stock servicestations indiningroom,kitchen,andbar,includingbutnotlimitedtochina,glassware,cutlery,serviettes,condiments,POS supplies,beverageproducts,andlinens.
- Polish glassware, cutlery, and otherservice wareinpreparation for meal service.
- Clean glasssurfaces,tabletops,service counters,floorsandfurniture asrequiredprior to, during,andaftermeal servicetoguestsindiningareas.
- Transport tables,chairs andother furniture asrequiredinpreparation for meal service toguestsindiningareas.
- Observeandcommunicatewithservers andguests torespondtoany additionalneeds andconfirmwith the serverwhencoursesandmeal havebeencompleted andassistwith clearance.
- Brew coffee,prepare, and stock beverages.
- Clear andresettables afterguestshavevacatedper thestandardprocedure.
- Check tablesto ensureappropriatecutleryandcondimentsare inplace forservice; assistinmarking table bypositionprior to each courseasrequired or requestedbyserver.
- Performassignedduties topreparedining roomandservice areas foreachmealperiod,andperformassignedbreakdowndutiesatend ofservice toguests
- Communicateproblemswith physicalspaceandequipment to supervisors and managersimmediately.
- Relate guestfeedbacktorestaurantservice employees,restaurantmanagementand kitchen,inatimelyandappropriate manner.
- Monitor andmaintaincleanliness,organizationandsanitationofrestaurantguest and workareasduringtheshiftincludingrestrooms,employeelocker room,bar,kitchen, andservicestations.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, andserviceoperations to ensuretimelinessofrestaurantservice.
- Promptly andcourteouslyreturnfoodand beverageitems refusedbyguestsdirectly to kitchenorbar.
- Maintain completeknowledgeof andcomply withall departmentalpolicies,serviceprocedures,and standards.
- Maintain completeknowledgeofcorrectuseof equipment.Use equipmentonly asintended.
- Anticipateguests’needs,respondpromptly,andacknowledgeall guestswithintimeframedesignated.
- Attendrestaurantpre-shiftandtrainingmeetings, as wellas requiredrestaurantmeetingsandtrainingsessions.
- Inspect guestdiningareas,service area includingkitchen,bar andstorageareas,andemployeebreakrooms.
- Provide service, as instructed byrestaurantmanagement, inbar/loungeareas.
- Ensureappropriate quantity,condition,andcleanlinessof allmiseenplacepriorto andduringmealservices.This includes butis not limitedtowipingdownand stacking designatedplates,andotherservice ware; preparingbreadservice; portioning butter; slicing,chopping,peeling, rinsing,cleaning or otherwisepreparingfoodandbeverageingredientsfor service.
- Assist inother areasoftherestaurant or departmentsas directed.
- Report anyunsafe orunsanitaryconditionstorelevantdepartments.
