Summary:


Responsible for driving local and national brand marketing platforms to drive consumer awareness and equity for the Spirit of Gallo portfolio of brands. Serves as the main point of contact and provides guidance and support to the Regional Marketing Team, Brand Teams, media and creative partners, local sales and distributor partners to deliver consumer-centric Regional Marketing programs.


Essential Functions:


  • Local Marketing & Activation
  • Provides support in the development of local media one-sheets and flow charts to accommodate unique business needs across the sales/distributor network.
  • Works with local finance team, Sales, and Regional Marketing Managers to ensure that the CoInvest budget tracker is accurate.
  • Assists in the execution of local sports partnerships and identifies opportunities to better leverage local brand partnerships to deliver a strong ROI.
  • Develops point-of view on the prioritization and execution of media surveys prior to annual briefing to enhance local media strategy inputs to enhance local media strategy inputs.
  • Attends Media Surveys in key markets and assists in managing follow-up action items with key stakeholders and Media Agency of Record (AOR).
  • Owns the partnership with distributors to understand truck fleet availability and make strategic recommendations on truck wrap investments .
  • Presents at key GSMs when support is needed for new brand/product launches.
  • Works with Sales/Distributor partners to kick off full-year brief development for local media, ensuring YoY learnings and optimizations are implemented to continue to evolve local media activation.
  • Owns the Local Brand Marketing Guide as a continuously evolving resource to ensure brand national strategy and guidance are up-to-date and shared with Sales/Distributors.
  • Ensures consistent, legal, and responsible approach to Local Media activation and partnerships. Assists in ensuring all local media activation is compliant.
  • Project Coordination • Ensures timely processing of local media invoicing, establishes clear submission deadlines, and communicates them effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Manages Local Media annual planning across all key stakeholders from briefing, reviewing proposals, and plan approvals and execution.
  • Builds synergies between cross-functional teams (Regional Marketing, Media, Brand, Sales/Distributor, agency partners) to identify areas for improvement or innovation for Local
  • Media.
  • Owns Local Media Campaign Tracker to ensure Regional Marketing, Media, Media AOR and Brand can reference up-to-date brief inputs, planned vs approved budgets, status of planning, etc.
  • Manages Media AOR planning and execution timelines to ensure all stakeholders adhere to deadlines.
  • Guides the Creative AOR development of the Local Media Website to support seamless brief submissions and ensure platform continues to provide value to the evolving local media planning and activation process.
  • Owns and manages reference documents for local media planning (ex. Sales/Distributor directory, Distributors by Market, etc.).
  • Effectively collaborates and communicates with Internal Media & Marketing stakeholders, Sales/Distributors and Creative/Media AOR.
  • Media Knowledge & Activation
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media planning and activation to guide internal stakeholders on best practices.
  • Reviews full year local media briefs and plan recommendations working with internal stakeholders and Sales/Distributors on feedback and final approvals.
  • Manages creative execution phase of local media planning process to ensure Creative AOR receive campaign trackers and specs, and timely delivery of assets to Media AOR/OOH Out of Home vendors.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of communications, finance, marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of communications, finance, marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 2 years of experience in media planning and/or buying on the agency or client side.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Required to travel up to 15% of the time in order to conduct job duties.
  • Experience planning and activating consumer facing local marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with project and budget management.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of communications, finance, marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of communications, finance, marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 3 years of experience in media planning and/or buying on the agency or client side.
  • Spirits industry experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple products or services concurrently under time constraints.
  • Strong work ethic with capacity and ability to operate independently and collaboratively in teams with a high attention to detail.
  • Significant organizational skills to work effectively in a fast paced, high campaign volume environment demanding quick responses.
  • Demonstrates ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple stakeholders across external and internal teams.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and creative problem solving, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Curious, ambitious, and motivated to drive constant growth as the local media process continues to evolve and strengthen.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Google Docs, and MS database at an intermediate level; IRI, Brio and Spectra at a basic level.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communications, organization and time management, and problem solving.

Compensation

  • Hiring Pay Range: $81,000 - $121,600/Year
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
