Hopewell Real Estate Services has an opening for a full-time Assistant Property Manager located in Waterloo, Ontario, reporting directly to the Sr. Property Manager.

As the Assistant Property Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Generating reports for senior management and partners to track project performance
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports
- Analyzing budgets, leases, year-to-date revenue, expense variances, and providing A/R summaries
- Analyzing year-to-date revenue, expense variances, and providing A/R summaries
- Maintaining and managing properties at a high standard that is in line with corporate objectives
- Negotiating and implementing service contracts (e.g., snow removal, landscaping)
- Conducting regular property inspections and approving property-related expenses
- Fostering positive and professional tenant relationships by responding promptly to tenant requests
- Maintaining and updating a tenant database and recording calls and complaints
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with staff, developers, brokers, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
On your resume, we ask that you outline the following experience:
- 5-10 years of commercial property management experience
- Post-secondary certificate/diploma; bachelor's degree preferred
- Yardi experience as well as proficiency with full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel is required, as well as demonstrated ability to create and run financial and other complex reporting as required
- A proven, in-depth, and hands-on understanding of property management systems and processes
- Strong knowledge of legal documentation, including offers to lease, lease agreements, sublease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and restrictive covenants
- Demonstrated experience in directing the development and management of complex projects
- Proven ability to understand, interpret, and analyze financial information and market research data
- Hold a valid driver's license.
