Work Arrangement:
This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, or Milford, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

This role is subject to U.S. export control restrictions. Successful candidates must either be a U.S. Person (defined by U.S. law as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.

The Role:
GM Defense is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual looking for an opportunity that will allow them to showcase their talents and have an impact in a strategic growth area. Our ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and demonstrates problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.
The GMD Assistant Program Manager will support the execution of vehicle programs after contract award, from product development and production to sustainment in the field. The role requires planning, developing and analyzing information necessary to support program leadership decisions regarding the product and business.
The role requires independent judgment and considerable creativity to solve unique execution and business opportunities and excellent organization skills to document program decisions regarding product content and strategies.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate Program Execution Team (PET) agenda, facilitate meetings, and document decisions
Function in an advisory capacity to other functions supporting the Product Execution Team
Manage Program Notebook and Product Program Content (PPC)
Support product change management in adherence with GMD processes and to contractual requirements, and also in coordination with the Vehicle Description System (VDS)
Update and communicate program schedule to internal and external customers
Support development of programmatic deliverables, in accordance with contractual requirements
Engage with government’s APM on program execution topics and issue resolution
Perform detailed monitoring and tracking of program status/readiness to internal and external deliverables, escalating to PM as required
Prepare presentations for internal gate reviews and external government leadership reviews, coordinating material from all cross-functional areas
Handle a variety of non-recurring special assignments
Support and backup Program Manager
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor of Science degree
Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience with working level knowledge/experience in vehicle development and product launches
High level of independent judgment and analytical ability to solve unique problems
Strong oral and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills
Highly effective in ambiguous environments
Ability to maintain effectiveness in fast-paced, changing environment
Strong organizational skills

Compensation:
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
The salary range for this role is $93,400 - $149,200. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual
performance.
