The Department of Theatre & Dance at Lamar University is seeking a full time Assistant Professor in Dance, Tenure Track, beginning Fall of 2024.
- Responsibilities would include teaching a 4/4 within the dance emphasis in areas of the candidate’s specialty, including but not limited to Ballet I-III, Jazz I-III, Modern I-III, Dance Improvisation and/or Dance Composition; teaching at least one section of Dance Appreciation per semester; choreographing for the fall and spring faculty dance concerts. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: overseeing the Applied Choreography class and class showcase; serving as concert director for Spring and/or Fall Dance concerts; program recruitment on a regional and national level; service on committees within the department and university
