Description
FUN.com is looking for an organized, detailed, and driven person to join our product development team! We have hundreds of new costume and apparel designs that need your help to go from concept stage to reality. We need someone to communicate with our factory partners and arrange to have prototypes made, which you'll review for quality and correct construction. Responsibilities
Duties
•Evaluate technical development packages and specs to communicate construction, design, and sizing details for each project to overseas partners and factories
•Meet with designers to discuss project specifications and design direction of a project
•Communicate with factory partners to produce samples and work through development problems
•Meet with product developers/project manager to review and approve sample photos and test photos
•Actively work to minimize sampling and production costs
•Review costing with team, managers, and buying team as needed
•Communicate roadblocks to leadership to help keep projects moving
•Participate in sample reviews to document and communicate any revisions to projects accordingly

Technical
•Must possess competency in the following areas:
•Understanding of the project management process; including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects.
•Strong communication with business partners who may be less than fluent in English
•Thorough understanding of garment construction, project costing, and different material types
•Strong applied knowledge in project costing
•Thorough understanding of factory capabilities and limitations
Experience
•Bachelor's degree or higher in Costume Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design or similar discipline or equivalent experience
•Work history that demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
•High school diploma
