Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

We are seeking an Assistant Laboratory Manager to join our Specimen Processing department at The Center for Laboratory Medicine.
You will:
- Plan, organize and direct the day-to-day operations of the Specimen Processing functions of the laboratory to achieve efficient and effective operations, to ensure quality service, and to meet the needs of the clinical staff and patients.
- Develop and monitor the processes governing specimens sent to reference laboratories for testing and received from outreach clients.
- Responsible for the organization of work, supervision of employees, staff development, expense control, billing reconciliation, quality management, process improvement and problem solving.
You need:
- A Bachelor’s degree (major: Biology, Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences preferred); Master’s degree preferred. If degree is in another discipline, all didactic and training requirement prerequisites must be complete as outlined by NYS and other accrediting agencies.
- 6+ years of Clinical Laboratory experience.
- A NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
- ASCP Certification preferred
Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
