Assistant General Manager

Position Description:

We’re looking for an excited, inviting,  hospitality expert to join our team as the second in command at our Flagship Marshfield site. Running point when the GM is not present, you’ll be responsible for forging meaningful connections with the entire operations team on the site ensuring each guest has an exceptional experience and the backyard, surf shop, and event operations go off without a hitch. Additionally, the assistant GM will be responsible for handling Private events on site, ensuring each prospective client that chooses our venue for their next big occasion receives top - notch service from front to back. 

Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership:
  • Encourage and support a cohesive team environment where every team member embodies our values, fostering a welcoming, unique, and upbeat customer - first mindset.
  • Create a biweekly schedules for the front of house team in collaboration with the GM and Store lead
  • Serve as a sounding board and solid Leader for your team, hearing out and solving issues when on the floor
  • Clearly communicate with your team regarding schedule and schedule issues 
  • Clearly communicate with your team regarding upcoming private events
• Hospitality:
  • Set the benchmark for exceptional hospitality e for your team whenever on site
  • Give your team daily tips to help improve their customer service abilities
  • Create an excellent environment for you team, allowing them to excel in their positions
• Venue Management:
  • Ensure guests are greeted with a clean organized space each day
  • Take point on any necessary venue rearrangements for private events
  • Assist in the overall upkeep of the venue, including assisting in readying the venue for show nights
• Private Events:
  • Oversee the private events process for every client from initial contact to day of of the event, providing an exceptional experience for them front to back
  • Provide excellent, timely communication throughout the private event process
  • Be present to handle any questions or concerns on the day of the event
  • Coordinate with management team to ensure private events are properly staffed, stocked, and accommodated for
