(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm, nights and weekends as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Develop and direct/coach speed, strength, agility, plyometric and Conditioning programs for the various intercollegiate athletic programs and student athletes. Instruct/coach student-athletes in proper nutrition programs. Administrative duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Travel is required in and out of state with various varsity sports and it is seasonal. If work schedule other than 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Describe: Training is often scheduled before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m., to accommodate practice schedules of various sports and class schedules of student-athletes.Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent’s salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Supervising and demonstrating lifting techniques as well as spotting student-athletes is required. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Health, Education, Health and Human Performance, or a related field, and three years of related experience.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) or Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (C.S.C.C.) acquire after hire per NCAA: A Strength and Conditioning coach shall be certified and maintain current certification through a nationally accredited Strength and Conditioning certification program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Health, Education, Health and Human Performance, or a related field, and four years of related experience at Division I level.
