To assist Head Coach in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, and training the intercollegiate football team. Reports to Head Football Coach. Prefer an individual who has experience coaching corners.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assist in coaching the football team, specializing in one or more positions; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student athletes’ skills and teamwork.
- Assist with the development of game strategy and determination of position assignments; analyze performance of student athletes.
- Scout and recruit student athletes.
- Assist in fundraising activities to subsidize the football program; assist in marketing and public relations activities to promote the program; perform community relations activities.
- Counsel and advise student athletes with personal or academic problems.
- May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; two years’ experience coaching football or a combination of coaching and playing experience at the professional or collegiate level to equal two years.
License/Certification:
Knowledge Of:
- National Collegiate Athletics Association and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations.
Skill In:
- Training or instructing student athletes; interpersonal communication.
Ability To:
- Analyze situations and develop solutions; travel and work non-traditional hours; manage people and projects.
