Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Football Coach and Senior Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will assist with the successful development of student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field of competition. Additionally, candidates will provide instruction in the personal development of student-athletes in a manner which reflects Wilmington's commitment to competitiveness and ethical behavior. This position is responsible for assisting the head Football Coach with the development, leadership, and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III football program. Duties include but are not limited to; assisting with recruitment of quality student-athletes, assist with the development and meeting of fundraising goals that support the football program, assist with the planning and execution of competitive practice and game strategies, assist with the supervision of team members during off-campus trips, assist with transportation and lodging arrangements, and assist with general office duties.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to analyze situations and develop solutions; ability to travel and work non-traditional hours; ability to foster positive internal and external public relations.

Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree, experience as a student-athlete, strength and conditioning certification is preferred, but not required.
